Australian Telecom Telstra Partners with Accenture to Launch Cloud Innovation Lab

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Australian telecommunications provider Telstra (www.telstra.com.au) and US-based technology consulting firm Accenture (www.accenture.com) announced on Monday that they will launch a new Product Innovation Lab in Melbourne to develop cloud computing solutions for Australia and New Zealand customers.

Telstra and Accenture established a strategic relationship in April 2010 with the goal of helping orgnizations build their businesses around cloud, according to the press release.

In June, Telstra announced that it would invest more than $800 million in its cloud services over the next five years, so clearly this is the result of at least some of that investment.

Web Host Layered Tech Provides Hosting for Accounting Software Developer Ontario Systems

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Layered Technologies (www.layeredtech.com) announced on Tuesday that it has expanded its partnership with accounting software developer Ontario Systems (www.ontariosystems.com).

According to the press release, Ontario Systems has selected Layered Tech’s PCI-compliant dedicated hosting and cloud platforms to support its SaaS-based debt collection management solution Collect Savvy.

Ontario Systems says it relied on Layered Tech to develop a custom hybrid infrastructure that combined Layered Tech’s cloud and dedicated hosting offerings to create an environment that could support customer applications and workloads.

Web Host Hostekcom Joins Railo Hosting Partner Program Launches Railo Plans

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Hostek.com (www.hostek.com) announced on Monday that it has partnered with open source ColdFusion Markup Language engine provider Railo (www.getrailo.com). According to the press release, Hostek.com is the first web hosting partner in Railo’s hosting partner program.

Hostek.com says the program enables it to benefit from the direct support of the Railo development team.

According to Railo’s website, its Railo Hosting Partner program is designed for companies that offer Railo Server-based hosting. Some of the benefits of joining the program, according to Railo, include a five percent discount of purchases made from Railo Technologies, listing on the Railo website, ability to display the Railo Hosting Partner banner, early access to new features and releases as well as access to the marketing materials portal. In addition, being part of the program entitles partners to access its Silver Support Package.
