The lineup for exhibit hall at HostingCon Global 2015 is rounding out, with the last premium booths likely to go before the deadline for Early Bird Registration rates. As the world’s premier hosting and cloud conference, and proudly vendor-neutral for over a decade, every segment of the industry will be represented at HostingCon. There is an alphabetical list of exhibitors, with booth numbers, information, and links, but it’s more fun to explore exhibit hall with the floor plan.

We all know that SoftLayer is a cloud infrastructure provider, and part of IBM. The next booth over is ResellerClub, known around the world as a leading registrar and hosting reseller.

Just two booths in the other direction is Noction. What is Noction? I didn’t know, but it turns out a lot of people do. If you say this is why I write the HostingCon blog rather than, say, host or optimize thousands of websites, you’re probably right. Noction provides a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) automation platform to boost network performance called Intelligent Routing Platform (IRP), and is used by more than a few companies you may have heard of, like Hivelocity, Thomson Reuters, Weebly, and Liquid Web. Noction’s been busy this year; opening a Singapore office in February, releasing IRP 3.1 with a new “Failover” system in March, and deploying to several new customer networks.

Since disruptive technologies and approaches can come from a company of any size, IT decision makers have to have a broad view of what’s happening in the industry; not just with the industry’s biggest players. That’s part of the strength of HostingCon Global. Exhibit hall will be filled with the up and coming companies providing solutions for every part of the hosting ecosystem. If your company needs to be there, check the exhibitor prospectus (pdf) and make the call now, because exhibit hall is filling fast!

It’s well known that cloud computing is a distributed system where data is never really stored just in one spot. This holds true for application, desktop and even cloud-based website delivery options. The idea is to create a robust, widely available system for many users to access. Some organizations require the use of a cloud provider which is local – or regional. Many others look to work with hosting providers which cater to the international organization. Is there a difference?
